Two people involved in the shocking shooting of Hoi An surrendered

On the afternoon of May 14, Colonel Dinh Xuan Nghia, head of the Hoi An City Police Department (Quang Nam province), said that the subject Tran Xuan Vu (born 2001; residing in Khue Ngoc Dien commune, Krong Bong district, Dak Lak province; temporarily residing in Dak Lak province) Hoi An City) surrendered after 5 days of hiding.

Before that, around 2:50 p.m. on May 9, 4 young men were drinking at Ba Dung pub (Cam Chau ward), when Tran Xuan Vu grabbed a sword from the street and burst into the restaurant, slashing at his body. by Nguyen Van Hung (residing in Cam An ward) caused Hung to break the middle finger of his right hand.

After cutting, Vu ran away to Ly Thai To Street, a group of young people chased him to the front of the Cultural Institution of Truong Le Street (in Cam Chau Ward), and was shot by Vu holding a homemade gun about 1m long. 2 bullets caused Mr. Pham Nguyen Van Hiep (resident in Cam An ward) with multiple injuries to the face, neck, back, and knees.

After committing the crime, Vu drove a branded motorbike with Ly Hau Hieu (SN 2001, living in Cam Pho ward, Hoi An city) to escape. On the afternoon of May 11, Hieu presented himself at the police station.

Hieu is also the subject of the decision to ban from leaving the residence of the People’s Court of Dien Ban town for the act of “Deliberately damaging property”.

At the scene, the police seized a homemade Japanese sword about 1.2 m long, a copper shell (suspected of a gun shell casing).

Initially, the authorities determined that due to pre-existing conflicts, the subjects went on Facebook to defame and challenge each other, leading to the above incident.
