A series of manhole covers in Thu Thiem urban area were lost

The route that has lost its manhole cover is often crowded with pedestrians and cools in the evening.

The area of ​​the missing manhole cover is about a kilometer from Thu Thiem 2 bridge. The manhole covers are 1×2 m in size, located on the sidewalk about 10 m apart. Below is a tunnel more than 2m deep with a sewage system. There’s a drain with a lid that’s full of trash underneath.

Some sewers are covered with planks by people to avoid the risk of pedestrians falling. According to a worker of the project construction unit, it is possible that the manhole cover was stolen. In addition to temporary shielding, the remaining manhole covers are covered with concrete blocks to prevent them from being taken.
