The new MPV Hyundai Stargazer is about to be launched in the Indonesian market with an attractive price from only 242 million VND.

Hyundai’s small MPV model is gradually appearing after many rumors. This model is called Stargazer. The press has repeatedly captured images of Hyundai Stargazer testing on the streets of Indonesia and its home country of Korea.

However, most recently, the Indonesian Government’s website specializing in motor vehicle tax has appeared information about Hyundai’s new 7-seater MPV. This has implicitly confirmed that the Stargazer model will soon be launched in the Southeast Asian market in the near future.

Based on the information shared by this website, the Hyundai Stargazer for Indonesians will have 6 versions, including Active MT, Active AT, Prime AT, Style AT, Trend MT and Trend AT. The selling price of the Kimchi MPV model ranges from 155 to 202 million Rupiah, equivalent to 242 – 316 million VND).

Compared to the price of competitors in the same segment in Indonesia such as Mitsubishi Xpander is good Suzuki XL7, the above price is still significantly cheaper when Xpander has a starting price of 322 million VND or XL7 is up to 383 million VND. If returning to Vietnam, it is not clear how attractive this model will be.

Unlike Suzuki XL7, Mitsubishi Xpander or Toyota Veloz Cross has an eye-catching appearance, Hyundai Stargazer has a very different appearance thanks to a style inspired by “elder” Staria. The front end of the car can be a large grille with lighting clusters placed in the recesses on both sides, above is a positioning LED strip. In general, the overall car is quite soft instead of stiff like the Xpander and Veloz Cross.

It is expected that Hyundai Stargazer will be equipped with a 4-cylinder petrol engine block, with a capacity of 1.5L naturally aspirated, producing a maximum capacity of 113 horsepower and maximum torque of 145 Nm, accompanied by a 1WD system. bridge. There will probably be two transmission options associated with this engine, a 6-speed manual and a CVT.

It is unclear after the launch in the Indonesian market, whether the distributor of Hyundai intends to bring this model to Vietnam or not.
