Pham Tien San won the gold medal in the history of the triathlon

After failing in the triathlon, the Vietnamese sports delegation won the Gold Medal in the triathlon (running 10km and cycling 40km) on the morning of May 15 in Tuan Chau, Ha Long (Quang Ninh). Attention is focused on athlete Pham Tien San – who is expected to win the historic Gold Medal in this subject.

Biathlon is still a new sport for fans in Vietnam. The experience of competing in the 3,000m obstacle course helps Tien San to always be at the top of the 10km running and 40km cycling competitions. The athlete from Bac Giang always competes with the Indonesian athlete in the first kilometers and then creates a safe distance from the other group of athletes.

Tien San finished first with a total time of 1 hour 55 minutes 57 seconds, he was far ahead of the second runner-up Indonesian athlete with a distance of more than 10 seconds. Thus, the gold medal in the biathlon is also the first gold medal of the Vietnamese sports delegation in the morning of May 15. This also promises a golden “explosive” competition day of the host country SEA Games 31.

After winning the historic gold medal in the event of the pentathlon, Tien San briefly shared: “I am full of happiness with this gold medal. I have prepared and practiced very well for the 31st SEA Games.” .
