‘Sea of people’ poured into the street to watch fireworks during the Red Phoenix Flower Festival in Hai Phong
On the evening of May 13, the art program “Hai Phong – Successful destination” by the City Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee of Hai Phong city, Hai Phong Department of Culture and Sports, officially took place at City Opera House square. This is the highlight program of the 9th Red Phoenix Flower Festival, to celebrate the 67th anniversary of the city’s liberation (May 13, 1955 – May 13, 2022).
After 2 years of suspension due to the Covid-19 epidemic, this year’s Red Phoenix Flower Festival exploded again with many spectacular performances. The scale of the organization is also elaborately invested in order to stimulate tourism demand and welcome domestic and foreign tourists to Hai Phong.
Both inside and outside the theater square was packed with people. Hai Phong City People’s Committee has blocked the city center roads to ensure security. Therefore, all spectators attending the Red Phoenix Flower Festival have to walk or park their cars at another location.
Some people gathered on the sidewalk to talk, eat snacks and wait for the fireworks. .
The art program lasted more than 3 hours with a series of unique art performances, built into 3 chapters: “Hai Phong brightens up the flower seasons”, “Hai Phong aspiration” and “Hai Phong destination” success”.
Besides the famous singers: Ho Quynh Huong, Ho Trung Dung, Tung Duong, Bui Lan Huong, Oplus Band, Ngoc Anh, Meritorious Artist Phuong Anh … the program also had the participation of fashion show of Ao Dai of Miss, runner-up, supermodel Hai Phong origin. They are Mai Phuong, Ngoc Han, Do My Linh, Dieu Thuy, Tran Thi Quynh, Hoang Thu Thao, Hoang Van, and Nguyen Thu Nga.

The most unique this year is the parade of 12 Carnaval models placed on 12 light trucks, representing many famous businesses and units in Hai Phong. After moving through the performance stage, the convoy will continue to move around Tam Bac lake for people to admire. At the end of the program, Hai Phong people continued to be overwhelmed by the fireworks display lasting 15 minutes.
