Should I take care of my ex when my boyfriend is not around?

I am 32 years old, my girlfriend is 27 years old, have been in love for five months. The two often quarrel because I am hot-tempered and very jealous, she often hides special relationships with her ex-lover. On one occasion, both of them raised their voices, saying that I can’t be like my ex and getting back together with him. After a period of silence, when drunk, she called or texted me to say she loved me.

I said the reason for getting back with my ex is because I still have a relationship, in the past that person helped me and my family overcome difficulties. Our house is close to each other, the other is far away, only visiting her every weekend. During the week, when she needed anything, she always asked me for help or confide in sad times. She kept telling me: “Can we be friends, don’t love me anymore”.

She was sick, so her sister asked me to take care of her until she was fine. Should I try to take care of her because of my love, until she’s fine, I won’t see her again?
