‘The way of refuge or the way to welcome?’

The driver and the adults accompanying him carelessly let more than 20 young people and teenagers stand in a row and pose for photos at the refuge road.

There have been many warnings by the media and social networks about the refuge route, but it seems that drivers in Vietnam still underestimate the importance, and also very dangerous, of this type of road.

The photo above shows that the sign is very large and clearly “Rescue Road”. This road is made straight downhill, with a lot of sand, gravel and uphill to help vehicles that lose their brakes or have problems quickly have a safe place to take refuge.

But look, the passenger car in this case was neatly parked at the entrance of the refuge road, the door was open to wait for the guests, the boys and girls were lined up as if to take pictures. Maybe the children are young, eager to have fun and don’t understand the law, but adults, at least the driver, can’t get a passenger’s driver’s license but don’t understand this road for what?

Think about it, if another truck or bus driver is going down a hill very quickly because of a loss of brakes, the refuge road and encounters this scene, how will the driver handle it? Crashed into a passenger car, pushed this car into a bunch of kids? Or will turn to avoid and most likely crash into a cliff or down a cliff. Either way, the driver who loses the brakes will also bear the risk. Meanwhile, as long as this road is clear, it is possible that no one will have to lose their life.

So the bus driver parked there, what do they think, is this a refuge road, or has it become a “pick up” road?
