Vietnamese people buy Fadil as much as i10 and Morning combined

After 4 months, Fadil is still the leading model in the A segment with more than 6,300 vehicles, equivalent to the total sales of i10 and Morning.

According to sales reports of airlines, in April, VinFast Fadil delivered 1,654 vehicles, down nearly 1,000 vehicles compared to 2,567 vehicles in March. However, the Vietnamese model is still at the top of the A segment because the opponent behind is Hyundai i10 delivered 1,227 vehicles.

A popular name for a while Kia Morning came in third with 787 cars. To increase competitiveness with i10, in April, Thaco provided two more low-priced automatic transmissions of Morning to the market.

Accumulating 4 months, Fadil is firmly in the top position with 6,319 cars, followed by i10 4,236 cars and Morning 2,241 cars. Thus, the total sales of the two Korean models is 6,477 units, only slightly more than the sales of Fadil alone.

Fadil is usually at the top of the segment, but sales are unstable, with a monthly difference of 500-1,000 vehicles due to affected supply. i10 also lacks components but fluctuates less every month, about 300 cars.

In the rest of the market, Honda Brio and Toyota Wigo sales are quite low. In April, Brio sold 353 cars, Wigo 33 cars. Toyota dealers are delivering the remaining Wigo numbers, before stopping selling for a while to wait for a new version. Brio is at a disadvantage when importing CBU, not enjoying registration fee incentives and having difficulty in supply.

Going to 2023, when Fadil stops selling, the race A-segment there will be only i10, Morning and Brio left. There is currently no information on whether other brands will join the cheapest segment of the market. In the past there were Mitsubishi Mirage, Suzuki Celerio, Chevrolet Spark but all were unsuccessful.
