10 cars sold at least in April – Kona first appeared

Of the 10 models sold at least in April, the majority are Japanese models, with only two Korean and Vietnamese models. Besides the cars that have no stock for sale, there are also cars that have stopped selling and are about to stop production.

For the first time in 2022, a Hyundai model has entered the list of models sold for the least month. Kona ranked 9th with sales in April decreased by only 70 units, 325 units less than in March. The top four models on the list regularly appear in the top 10 most sold cars every month, such as the Suzuki Ertiga, Toyota Land Cruiser, Suzuki Swift and Isuzu D-Max. In second place is Toyota Land Cruiser with sales of 12 units, 2 cars less than last month. Imported from Japan, the Land Cruiser is in short supply due to a lack of production materials, the car is trickling in, and the price is high compared to the listed price.

Right behind the Land Cruiser, Suzuki Swift sold only 13 units in April, while last month, the hatchback sold 100 vehicles. Both models of the Isuzu family are on the list of cars for sale at least in April. In 4th place, Isuzu D-Max sold 25 cars, 107 less than in March. 7-seat SUV, mu-X sold 45 cars, ranked 7th, 12 cars less than last month.

Mazda MT-50 and Toyota Wigo ranked at 5th and 6th positions respectively. Mazda pickup truck sold 29 vehicles in April, while March sold 90 units. Wigo stopped selling, the rest cleared inventory with 33 units in April. Compared to March, Toyota’s small hatchback sold 86 cars.

Accord in 8th place with sales of 49 units, sold more than March with 29 units. Sales of the D-size sedan increased thanks to Honda’s introduction of an upgraded version, adding a safety technology package.

Toyota Prado and VinFast Lux SA2.0 together ranked 10th with 80 units sold in April. Compared to March, Prado sold 9 more units, while Lux SA2.0 sold 103 units less. Like the Land Cruiser, Prado is in the same situation, imported Japanese cars, high prices, customers are mainly businesses and the number of cars is small due to lack of supply. Meanwhile, the Vietnamese automaker is gradually switching from petrol cars to electric cars. VinFast announced that, from 2023, the Vietnamese car company will stop producing internal combustion engine cars.
