The subjects showed signs of transporting drugs along a trail from Laos to Dien Bien district, Dien Bien province, from there, they continued to transport them to other provinces for consumption. After a period of implementing professional measures, the Special Case Committee chaired by the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of the Provincial Police, coordinated with professional units of the Ministry of Public Security, the Traffic Police Department, and the National Police Department. The operation and some units of Security division of Dien Bien Provincial Police, Tuan Giao District Police, Drug Prevention and Control Team of Dien Bien Customs Department jointly decided to solve the case.
The special team successfully broke the case, caught 4 subjects at km 01 + 700 of National Highway 279 in the territory of Tuan Giao district town, Dien Bien province when they were on their way to transport 115 cakes of heroin for consumption.
The four arrested people living in Tin Lan village, Nua Ngam commune, Dien Bien district are Giang A Tru (SN 1996), Ly A Kha (SN 2000), Ly A Manh, Giang A So – with SN 2002.
At the scene, the special team seized 4 backpacks, the other side containing 115 cakes of heroin, 5 phones and 10.5 million VND.
At the police station, the subjects initially admitted that these drugs were bought from Laos and were being transported to Lao Cai for consumption.
