Gasoline price increased by more than 30,000 VND/liter?

Leaders of some petroleum businesses said that in the next operating period (May 21), the domestic gasoline price is likely to exceed 30,000 VND/liter if the world oil price does not decrease.

According to regulations, this coming May 21 will be the next adjustment period of gas price, oil in water. Many forecasts said that in the upcoming adjustment period, gasoline prices will continue to increase.

Leaders of some petroleum businesses in Hanoi said that the world petroleum market in recent sessions has fluctuated strongly, the price has changed direction continuously and the general trend is up. Currently, the domestic base price is about 300-600 dong loss per liter of gasoline, while oil is positive about 400-700 dong.

Therefore, the domestic petroleum market is facing a new price increase. If the world oil price does not cool down, the domestic retail price of gasoline in the upcoming operating period (May 21) is likely to surpass the threshold of 30,000 VND/liter.

However, there are about 5 days left until the price adjustment period, it is still too early to forecast gasoline prices, nor does it exclude the possibility that gasoline prices will reverse to decrease because the market fluctuates very quickly.

The world petroleum market last week had many fluctuations. This will soon promote increased demand for gasoline.

Domestic gasoline prices have just been adjusted on May 11. During this operating period, the Inter-Ministry of Industry and Trade – Finance decided to increase many types of gasoline and oil. Accordingly, the price of gasoline E5RON 92 increased by 1,490 VND / liter, to 28,959 VND / liter. The price of RON 95 gasoline increased by 1,550 VND/liter, to 29,983 VND/liter. This is the highest price of RON 95 gasoline ever.

Similarly, diesel oil was also adjusted to increase by 1,210 VND/liter, to 26,740 VND/liter; kerosene oil increased by 1,340 VND/liter, to 25,165 VND/liter, while fuel oil remained unchanged at 21,560 VND/kg.

At the price adjustment period on May 11, the Inter-Ministry of Industry, Trade and Finance did not use the Price Stabilization Fund for most petroleum products in the context that some large enterprises are still having negative funds (except for kerosene spending). 300 VND/liter, fuel oil 33 VND/kg). At the same time, the operating agency sets up a fund to stabilize gasoline prices with E5, RON95 gasoline, and diesel oil at 100 VND/liter.

Since the beginning of this year, domestic gasoline prices have continuously increased. Petrol prices in the country are currently at the highest level in the past 8 years, since July 2014. Since the beginning of the year, gasoline prices have increased 9 times and decreased 3 times. And in the upcoming adjustment, domestic gasoline prices may continue to increase.
