The two National Assembly Chairmen exchanged opinions on regional and international issues of mutual interest and cooperation between the two countries and the two National Assembly at multilateral forums.

Lao National Assembly Speaker Saysomphone Phomvihane also congratulated Vietnam on taking on the role of host of the 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 31) – the largest and much-awaited sporting event in the region.

After the talks, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and Lao National Assembly President Saysomphone signed a cooperation agreement between the National Assembly of Vietnam and the National Assembly of Laos for the period 2022-2026, and witnessed the signing ceremony and exchange of documents. other cooperation cases.

On this occasion, the President of the National Assembly of Vietnam presented the Secretariat of the Lao National Assembly with computers, projectors and cameras; donated to Champasak Provincial Boarding School, Friendship School and Vietnamese Association in 4 Southern Laos provinces with computers, Vietnamese books, briefcases and some equipment, with a total value of 5 billion VND.

After the end of the talks, the two National Assembly Chairmen planted souvenir trees in the premises of the Lao National Assembly House.
