Moderna vaccine is not currently given to children under 6 years of age

According to the vaccination expert of the Ministry of Health, the Covid-19 vaccine given to children from 5 to under 12 years old is the vaccine used technology mRNA or messenger RNA. This is a technology that was developed many years ago to create drugs to treat cancer and other dangerous diseases.

In fact, this technology has been used and clinically proven for safety, effectiveness and has only recently been applied to a vaccine against Covid-19.

The two vaccines used in this vaccination, Moder and Pfizer, will not have the same effect because the content and technology of the two companies are not exactly the same.

In Vietnam, the Pfizer vaccine is given to younger children and Moderna is given to older children. The Ministry of Health has also stipulated, Do not mix vaccines for children; children get the basic dose (2 doses of the same vaccine); The distance between nose 2 and nose 1 is 28 days.
