3 children drowned in the neighbor’s pond
On the evening of May 16, information from the People’s Committee of Bu Dop district (Binh Phuoc) said that the bodies of three drowned children had been handed over to their families to take care of the aftermath.
The victims of the drowning incident on May 16 in hamlet 5, Thien Hung commune, Bu Dop district, Binh Phuoc province include: D.VT (6 years old), D.V.Th. (4 years old) and BTBN (4 years old).
Before that, at noon of the same day, while cleaning the garden, Mr. Tran Dai Lam (40 years old) saw 3 grandchildren T., Th and N. hanging out together, heading to his pond.
Mr. Lam then went to spread grass at his pond when he discovered that there were 2 pairs of children’s slippers left on the pond bank. Suspecting something bad, Mr. Lam went down to the pond to check and found that all 3 children had drowned dead 3m deep pond.

After carrying out the recovery of the body, the victims were handed over to their families to take care of the aftermath.
Before that, also in Binh Phuoc province, there were 2 drowning cases that killed 4 students. Specifically, on the afternoon of May 1, a tragic drowning incident occurred in the Dong Nai river area in village 1, Dong Nai commune, Bu Dang district, Binh Phuoc province.
Four students and a group of 11th grade friends invited each other to take a bath at the shoal of the Dong Nai River, unfortunately, they fell into the whirlpool and drowned to death. The victims include: NMH (17 years old); V. D. T. (18 years old); LHM (17 years old) and LNT (17 years old).
Most recently on May 14, two 9th graders, including TTN and NVS, tragically drowned when they asked each other to go fishing in the area of Suoi Giai canal, hamlet 5, Tan Lap commune, Dong Phu district, Binh Phuoc province.
