My sister just turned to the gate, my mother-in-law said a sentence that made me extremely angry

We have been married for 6 years, have 2 children of all kinds. The day I stepped foot in to become a bride, my mother-in-law was not very happy, probably because my family did not register for me. After living together for a while, my mother-in-law was constantly angry, finding things for no reason, making me very tired.

I work 8 hours a day, sometimes I have to work overtime, but I still have to take care of all the family chores from the children to each meal and cleaning. Knowing that is what a daughter-in-law needs to do, I always try to do everything, just hoping that my mother-in-law understands and helps a little. But she constantly scolded and was never satisfied with me.

Later, saving some money, combined with a bank loan, my husband and I bought a house to live in separately. However, her mother-in-law still forced her to buy a house near her husband’s house with the reason that she would visit her children and grandchildren for convenience. My wife and I also try to please her.

However, taking care of children and grandchildren is nowhere to be seen, but from time to time, she comes to my house just to criticize this and that, and then to make an excuse for me to go home to clean.

The climax was the day before, when I was at work, my mother-in-law called just to tell me to cook dinner for her last night to entertain friends. I also try to finish work to come home early to cook. I also had to call my sister to prepare some food for me to bring because I was afraid I wouldn’t be back on time.

My sister loves me very much, so she rushed to bring food while I was hiding in the kitchen. As soon as she returned to the gate, I suddenly heard her mother-in-law talking to some friends that my sister was the family’s hourly maid. That made me extremely angry.

After cleaning up my breakfast, I went home and burst into tears. Seeing my husband, I threw everything on him: “I really don’t understand how your mother can call you maids. Is it like that with your family and sisters? No respect for me or my sister. The sisters still do not have a family of their own because of taking care of their sick parents, their daily work is already hard, but they also have to take care of his mother’s meals with friends. Do you think it’s acceptable?”

“I’ll just stay calm. Mom probably didn’t mean it either, maybe it was a misunderstanding.”my husband defended.

“You think that’s a misunderstanding? This is not the first time my mother and I have treated your family like this. But even I didn’t protect you in front of my mother, when will I be able to grow up?”, I said in a state of repressed resentment for a long time.

After saying that, I left the house despite her husband calling from behind. My mother-in-law can look down on me, treat me however she likes, but I don’t allow her to do that to my own sister. The more I think about it, the more I love my sister, the more frustrated I get with my mother-in-law.
