Simultaneous release of theatrical play and novel about President Ho Chi Minh

On May 16, in Hanoi, Vietnam Cai Luong Theater in collaboration with Literary Publishing House, Lien Viet Culture and Communication Joint Stock Company announced the launch of two special works, theatrical plays and the book. The novel has the same literary origin, with the same name, “The debt of young water”, in the three-part artistic epic “Non Thousand miles of water” by author Nguyen The Ky.

This is an activity to celebrate 132 years of President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday (May 19, 1890 – May 19, 2022) and 111 years of Uncle Ho’s departure to find a way to save the country (June 5, 1911 – June 5). 2022).

Writer and playwright Nguyen The Ky, author of the two works mentioned above, said that he had performed the play and novel “Debts of young water” part 1 as well as the art epic “Thousand miles of water” about the image of the Lord. President Ho Chi Minh is a big challenge for him, because there have been many great literary and artistic works about him, which have been recognized and deeply engraved in the mind of the public by the public. However, he still devoted himself to the work to show his deep affection for Uncle Ho and contributed more literary and artistic works about him.

The stage play and novel “Young country debt” have content about President Ho Chi Minh’s childhood and adulthood, especially the process of change, maturity in awareness, patriotism, and hatred. invaders, burning determination to find a way to save the country of young Nguyen Tat Thanh.

In particular, the stage play “Young water debt” is a combination of cai luong theater art and a number of other traditional art forms such as vi, giem, Hue folk songs, Bai Choi, and Southern folk songs. The work is directed by People’s Artist Trieu Trung Kien, and adapted by Hoang Song Viet, with the participation of the artist of the Vietnam Cai Luong Theater and the UNESCO Art Troupe of Nghe An Folk Heritage.

People’s artist Trieu Trung Kien said that the author and director chose decisive historical slices and moments to highlight an important period in Uncle Ho’s life and career with traditional theater art. special system. The stage play “Young water debt” will be premiered to the audience on the evening of May 19 and 20, at the Hanoi Opera House.

The novel “Immortal debt” is published and published by Lien Viet Culture and Communication Joint Stock Company and Literature Publishing House. The book is 220 pages thick, including 4 chapters: “Chua village”, “Church village returns, Sen Vinh Quy village”, “Back to the citadel”, “For a long trip”.

The author does not describe the biographies of the characters, but uses the novel’s advantages to show the change in perception, feelings and ideas of Nguyen Sinh Cung – Nguyen Tat Thanh before the political and social issues of the country. country and world; historical movements, patriotic movements and finding the right path to regain independence and freedom for the country and the people.

Poet Nguyen Quang Thieu, President of the Vietnam Writers’ Association, affirmed that writer Nguyen The Ky had all the important and necessary things to write this novel, first of all, the volume “Immortal debt”. It is an extremely thorough study of Ho Chi Minh’s life and thought; a deep understanding of the geography, history and culture of the land where Uncle was born and raised; choosing a suitable writing style for the genre of fiction about historical figures; especially the author’s sacred love for him. Author Nguyen The Ky said that the next 2 volumes of the novel series and the remaining 2 parts of the stage work “Ten thousand miles of water” called “Drifting through the four seas” and “The returnee”, are expected to come out. to the public eye in 2023 and 2024.
