The newly launched Range Rover 2022 has been recalled because of a front sensor error

The cause of this recall is believed to be an improperly tightened screw that causes the front crash sensors of the Range Rover (model 2022) to become loose and malfunction. This can affect the deployment of the airbag in the event of a collision or cause the front airbag to deploy automatically even without a collision.

The new generation Range Rover is recalled in the US.

According to the announcement from the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), a total of 19 new generation Land Rover Range Rovers are affected. Customers are advised to bring the recalled vehicle to a dealer to have the screws on the front collision sensor re-tighten.

In April, Range Rover and Range Rover Sport (both 2016-2017 models) were also recalled in the US market with an amount of more than 14,800 units due to faulty emergency seat belt tensioners in the driver’s position and does not lock properly. Previously, in August 2021, more than 111,000 Range Rover and LR4 vehicles were also recalled for leaking fuel tanks.
