The risk of increasing over 30,000 VND/liter?
Leaders of some petroleum businesses said that in the next operating period (May 21), the domestic gasoline price is likely to exceed 30,000 VND/liter if the world oil price does not decrease.
According to regulations, this coming May 21 will be the next adjustment period of gas price, oil in water. Many forecasts said that in the upcoming adjustment period, gasoline prices will continue to increase.
Leaders of some petroleum businesses in Hanoi said that the world petroleum market in recent sessions has fluctuated strongly, the price has changed direction continuously and the general trend is up. Currently, the domestic base price is about 300-600 dong loss per liter of gasoline, while oil is positive about 400-700 dong.

In addition, according to analysts, the US announced a plan to buy 60 million barrels to replenish emergency reserves also increased crude oil demand.
Besides, oil prices were also supported by positive signals in the fight against Covid-19 in China. From today (May 16), shopping malls and some service stores in Shanghai will be reopened after 6 weeks of closure due to the zero Covid-19 policy. This will soon promote increased demand for gasoline.
