The workshop specializes in swapping engines with the ‘soul Toyota skin BMW’ style

The Yung Lee Auto tuning studio in Malaysia isn’t afraid to mix and match brands, with engines from Toyota that can be found in just about any car, from Nissan to BMW.

The 2JZ engine is Toyota’s legendary, one of the best six-cylinder machines ever made, with a few modifications that can deliver a tremendous amount of power. Almost exclusively on Supra, this engine also appears in a few limited editions from time to time.

But Yung Lee Auto has put this engine on 13 different cars, including Toyota Hilux 4×4, Ford Transit Van, Nissan R34 Skyline…

It’s not just Toyota engines being placed where they shouldn’t be. For example, the Nissan SR20 engine that is only suitable for a 4-cylinder structure is also found in a few strange cars. Or the 2ZZ-GE engine on the Toyota Yaris is derived from the Celica race car of the same house.

Fans of Mazda’s rotary engines will probably not be pleased when the RX-8 loses its inherent “heart” to switch to a V8, Toyota 1JZ, Nissan SR20 or whatever in terms of material. Common sense is the inability to “be predestined”.

One of the latest projects of this workshop is the Nissan Cefiro A31 with R32 Skyline body panels running a turbocharged Toyota 2JZ engine.

Although the engine swap is quite challenging, the workshop is skilled enough that no one will recognize the “soul Toyota da BMW” cars without opening the roof.

Certainly many enthusiasts find it uncomfortable, while others find it amusing.
