According to Youth Reportedly, male patient M. was hospitalized in a conscious state. The patient said that 6 hours after being admitted to the hospital, he wanted to try new sensations, so he put the cucumber in the anal area.

But because his hand slipped, the cucumber got stuck deep inside, he tried to push to go to the toilet and used his hand to remove it but failed, so he had to go to the local hospital. Immediately, the patient was transferred to Nguyen Tri Phuong Hospital.

Doctors at the Department of Gastroenterology, Nguyen Tri Phuong Hospital, said that based on anal examination and endoscopic results, the doctors determined that the foreign body was an elongated, very firm cucumber with a similar surface. relatively smooth, no bleeding in the anorectal area was recorded.

However, due to the large size of the melon, the endoscopic extraction failed, so surgery was required. The patient was quickly transferred to the Department of Surgery – Anesthesia.

After anesthesia, the doctors determined that the head of the cucumber slid down near the anus, so they used forceps with hooks, gently clamped it, turned it around and pulled it out.

Cucumbers more than 10 cm long were successfully removed, with no bleeding from the lower gastrointestinal tract.

Currently, the patient’s health is stable, he has been discharged from the hospital and scheduled a follow-up appointment for doctors to continue monitoring.
