“Traditional treatment is the best,” one woman told North Korean state television, while her husband said they let their children gargle with salt water every morning and evening.

An elderly Pyongyang resident said she uses ginger tea and ventilates her room.

“I was scared by Covid-19 for the first time. But after following my doctor’s advice and receiving the appropriate treatments, it turned out to be no big deal,” she said in a television interview.

On May 15, KCNA reported 392,920 more cases of “fever” and 8 more deaths, bringing the total to 1,213,550 people with “fever” and 50 deaths.
