On behalf of AVC, I, the AVC press officer, was appointed as the press representative for volleyball, the 31st SEA Games in Quang Ninh, Vietnam, during the period of time. From May 12 to 22, 2022, I would like to sincerely apologize for the “inappropriate use of words” when reporting on the match between Thailand and Vietnam on May 17, 2022.

Reporter Prechachan Wiriyanupappong expressed his mistake: “My purpose is to use the word ‘man’ just to describe what Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen looks like (I mean she is strong), but it has created many harmful misunderstandings. I promise not to let the same mistakes happen again. Thank you everyone.”
