Looking back over the past 7 years (2014-2021), the Vietnam Association for Mine Resurrection Support has overcome many difficulties and challenges and has developed rapidly, comprehensively and firmly, supported by the Party and State. People trust in the work of supporting victims of landmine accidents after the war.

The association has expanded its organization to many provinces and cities, focusing on key areas heavily contaminated with bombs, mines, and explosives after the war.

The Association’s activities are increasingly expanding, affirming the prestige, position and role of the Association, contributing to strengthening the trust of the Party committees, authorities, departments, local mass organizations, victims and workers. people throughout the country.

Up to now, the total number of people who have received livelihood support from the Association is 5,600 people, with a total amount of tens of billions of dong. In which, more than 300 families of landmine victims in the provinces are supported with 1 breeding cow/family.

More than 5,100 people are supported with different livelihoods depending on their circumstances and specific needs, such as: Donating gratitude houses (35 million VND/house), supporting business capital, purchasing production tools, repairing housing repair (support from 7-15 million VND/person); supporting the fund “Strengthening children to go to school” 290 million dong; donated thousands of books and school supplies to students of boarding schools for ethnic minorities and 3,500 comic books to propagate and prevent landmine accidents for children and students in local schools.

The association has had a large force established in the localities and put into operation effectively, including: two provincial-level Mine Remediation Associations in Da Nang City, Quang Ngai Province and 17 branches under the Central Government. The Central Association consists of: Five branches supporting the recovery of landmines and landmines in Hanoi and 12 branches supporting the recovery of landmines and landmines in provinces and cities such as Ha Giang, Cao Bang, Hai Phong, and Quang. Binh, Quang Tri, Quang Nam, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Dak Lak, Kon Tum.

The Congress elected the Executive Committee of the II term with 38 members; The inspection committee consists of 5 members.

At the Conference of the Executive Committee, term II, elected and introduced the chairman, vice presidents and general secretary of the Association. Lieutenant General, Army Corps of Engineers Nguyen Duc Soat – Chairman of the 1st Association, continued to be trusted by the General Assembly to hold the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Association for Support for Mine Remediation, Course II, term 2022 – 2027.
