People continue to “give up” land to build Long Thanh airport

On May 18, the People’s Committee of Long Thanh district (Dong Nai) said that the locality had just handed over nearly 15 hectares of land to build Long Thanh airport. It is known that out of nearly 15 hectares of land handed over in phase 6, there are nearly 14 hectares in the area serving the construction of Long Thanh airport in phase 1 and about 1 hectares in phase 2 of the project.

The land handover continues to be carried out in the form of “temporary land allocation for three” between the People’s Committee of Long Thanh district, the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) and the Southern Airport Authority. These 14 hectares are in the construction area of ​​Long Thanh airport in phase 1, of which more than 5 hectares are in the area serving the construction of Long Thanh airport in phase 1 (1,810 hectares in area) and more than 8.5 hectares in the area. redundant land reserve area (722 ha).

Dong Nai has set a target in May 2022 to complete and hand over the entire land area of ​​2,532 hectares to serve the construction investment project of Long Thanh airport phase 1.

Thus, up to now, Long Thanh district has handed over to relevant units an area of ​​​​nearly 2,258 hectares out of a total of 2,532 hectares that need to be handed over to the construction investment project of Long Thanh airport phase 1.

Mr. Le Van Tiep, Chairman of Long Thanh District People’s Committee, said that the locality is very grateful for the consent of the people in the relocation and handing over of the site. Mr. Tiep hoped that the people would continue to agree and support the local government in the coming time.

Currently, the People’s Committee of Long Thanh district has paid for temporary residence, and assigned the authorities to search for standard accommodation areas to support temporary residents while waiting for the completion of house construction. in the resettlement area of ​​Loc An – Binh Son.
