Vietnam has the first official legal entity on Blockchain

On the morning of May 17, the Vietnam Blockchain Technology Association (Vietnam Blockchain Association) officially launched and conducted the establishment congress after a long time of preparing human resources.

This organization was established under Decision No. 343/QD-BNV approved by the Ministry of Home Affairs on April 27, 2022. With this decision, the Vietnam Blockchain Association becomes the first official legal entity to gather enthusiasts in the research and application of Blockchain technology throughout Vietnam.

According to the announcement of the Vietnam Blockchain Association, the leadership structure of this organization will include 1 Chairman, 4 Vice Presidents and 4 Standing Members. In which, Mr. Hoang Van Hue (former Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Environment) will hold the role of Chairman of Vietnam Blockchain Association.

The Vietnam Blockchain Association is currently the only legal bridge between the Vietnamese Blockchain community and State agencies and departments in order to build a legal framework for the Vietnamese Blockchain technology industry towards the goal of national technology. digital – digital economy.

This will be the convergence of those interested in researching, testing, evaluating, standardizing and encouraging the application of Blockchain technology in Vietnam.

Speaking at the launching ceremony of the Vietnam Blockchain Association, Mr. Tran Van Tung – Deputy Minister of Science and Technology (Science and Technology) said that, with the ability to share information transparently, sustainably and with high security, Blockchain is growing rapidly. is one of the breakthrough technology trends, attracting the attention of many national governments, scientists and the business community.

Among the top 200 companies and businesses operating on Blockchain technology, there are 5-7 businesses founded by Vietnamese people.

Currently, there are about 10 Vietnamese innovative startups in the Blockchain field with a market capitalization of over 100 million USD. Vietnamese tech unicorns have begun to appear on the global Blockchain market.

“With the great potential of Blockchain technology, we see an increasing number of businesses, scientists, and engineers pursuing research and application of this technology, leading to the need to connect, share and support is getting stronger. Therefore, the birth of the Vietnam Blockchain Technology Association is very necessary and very meaningful,” said Deputy Minister Tran Van Tung.

Deputy Minister Tran Van Tung also said: “The Ministry of Science and Technology will review and complete the legal corridor of the science and technology industry to create favorable conditions for research, development and application. Blockchain technology in Viet Nam”.

“The Ministry of Science and Technology will consider and prioritize resources for research and development tasks, applying Blockchain technology,” said Deputy Minister Tung.

At the event, a comprehensive cooperation program on promoting Blockchain application strategy in the digital economy and national digital transformation was also officially announced.
