With 5 billion VND, it is difficult for young couples to “lock” in buying a house in the center of Hanoi

I thought that with the amount of 5 billion, my wife and I could easily buy a house to live in, but we have not been able to buy a house for the past few months.

My wife and I were both born and raised in Hanoi. We got married 3 years ago and have a lovely little girl almost 2 years old. I am currently staying at my husband’s house in Doi Can. My parents’ house is not far away, about 1-2km. Because my grandparents’ houses are close together, the time I gave birth and raised children was very leisurely, my grandparents were always there to support me, I could run back and forth at any time.

Now, when the children are stronger, we intend to buy a house to live in separately, because my husband’s house is quite small, only 40m2, my brother-in-law is also preparing to get married. If both couples live with their parents, it will be very cramped and secret. Parents-in-law also urged us to go see and buy a house to move out, although we never asked our grandparents to let us live separately.

My husband does a freelance business, after a long time of establishment with a built-in reputation, he also made a decent amount of money, plus the help of both sides of the family, we have about 5 billion for each other. home buying. I thought that with this amount of money, my wife and I could easily buy a satisfactory house, but that’s not the case. Since Tet, house price galloping up and showing no sign of stopping.

Both my parents-in-law and my husband and I both want to be able to find a house or apartment around Giang Vo area, close to the grandparents’ house on both sides of the paternal and maternal sides, convenient for transportation and close to schools, in the future. send their children to school. However, for months on end, we still couldn’t buy a house.

As people who care and care for their children, my husband’s parents often go to the surrounding apartment buildings to find a home for us by themselves. They said they went to see a resettlement project near their house. This project seems to fit the criteria of proximity and convenience, the location is very nice. The price of apartments here is about 60-70 million VND/m2. An apartment of more than 100m2 with 3 bedrooms and 2 balconies costs about 7 billion VND but very few sellers. Some 2-bedroom apartments for sale are quite small, secretive, with only 1 balcony and no view.

My father-in-law was worried about the resettlement house, the quality of construction was not high, it deteriorated quickly, after living for a while, he had to change another house. He went to see and was very pleased with a high-class apartment project on Lang Ha Street. This project looks classy, quality, professional management makes my father satisfied. But the price of apartments here is not cheap, about 100 million/m2, which means to buy a 3-bedroom apartment of 112m2 we have to spend about 10 billion dong. Not to mention luxury apartment So the monthly service fee is also quite high.

With this amount of money, many people recommend that we buy a house, not an apartment. Even high-quality apartments cannot equal their own houses.

My wife and I also found out that the price of land around the area is about 100 million/m2. With the money we have, we can only buy a few dozen square meters of land, not to mention having to spend a few billion more to build. My husband has a car, so buying a house requires a wide lane to be able to enter. If we buy land to build a house, it will take at least a few years before we have a house to live in. While the children are young in the house, the children will not have as much space to play as the apartment building only living on one floor.

My mother-in-law said that buying a house depends on the stage, now that the children are young, they should buy an apartment for easy management. Later, when the children are older, they can sell and buy a house. However, condominiums usually keep their prices, not increasing in price as much as real estate, later on, if we sell apartments, we also have to add a lot of money to buy a spacious land to build a house.

But in the resettlement house, my father-in-law is afraid of the quality, and the high-end apartment building is not enough to reach. If we go further, we will have more choices, but we want to stay close to our grandparents, and later we also ask them to pick up our children when we are afraid.

For the past few months, my whole family has been stressed about the house, I don’t know when will my wife and I “fix” the house we like to move out?
