In the guidance document, the Ministry of Health makes a note about medical complications that may appear during recovery after being infected with Covid-19.

In particular, when any of the following 5 warning signs appear dangerous, people need urgent medical help from medical staff:

– Shortness of breath with light activity that does not improve with any position that reduces dyspnea such as: Lying on your stomach; lying on one side with head elevated with knees slightly bent; sitting with head bowed forward; standing with head bowed, hands on hips or waist; Practice breathing exercises…

There is a change in dyspnea at rest that does not improve with movement techniques and exercise.

– Feeling chest pain, heart palpitations or dizziness when in certain positions or during exercise or physical activity.

Confusion worsens or you find it difficult to speak or understand speech.

Changes in sensation and movement in the face, arms or legs, especially if they are only on one side of the body, or worsening anxiety or mood, or thoughts of wanting to harm yourself.

In this document, the Ministry of Health also made a note on the issue of examination and counseling on fatigue management – one of the most common symptoms in the recovery period after Covid-19 infection.

When you are tired, you will feel your body is very heavy and even light physical activities consume a lot of energy.

You will have difficulty concentrating, thinking, or absorbing new information, memory as well as work and study are affected. Even finding simple words to write or say can become difficult.

Medical experts recommend that if you are tired during the post-Covid-19 recovery period, you should develop a flexible plan that allows you to function within your current capacity and avoid being overwhelmed.

Determine what activities of the day are necessary – that is, what “needs” to do and what you “want” to do, what can be done at a different time, on a different day, and that others can assist…

You should see a specialist if fatigue persists despite self-regulating in pacing and prioritizing activities.

Those fatigue clearly affect health and daily activities along with some symptoms such as: Fatigue after working hard and lasting for more than 24 hours; restless sleep; impaired memory or concentration; muscle pain, pain in many joints but no swelling, heat, redness; sore throat or mouth ulcers; headache…

In particular, people should not delay but should go to the respective specialist clinics if they feel fatigued for a long time after contracting Covid-19, and have chronic cardiovascular diseases (coronary artery disease, heart failure). …); medical disease (diabetes, chronic kidney disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease …) or cardiovascular, respiratory complications… during Covid-19 infection.
