Talking at the seminar “The future of AI industry and the need for high-quality human resources” at the event “AI NOW: ACADEMIC & CAREER”, said Mr. Tran Trung Hieu, Founder – CEO of recruitment technology platform TopCV, In the past few years, the demand for recruiting AI personnel in Vietnam is very large, but the supply is very short. In Vietnam, the new AI human resource supply meets 10% of the recruitment demand of the domestic market, not to mention the foreign market has many opportunities.

“So AI training is really urgent. The more experienced IT Devs are, the easier it is to have the opportunity to work at large corporations,” said Mr. Tran Trung Hieu.

Talking about the future development of AI training, Mr. Nguyen Hai Nam – Director of FUNiX xSeries, former Head of R&D team of Asilla Japan said: It is necessary to tighten the connection between AI schools, centers and institutions. .

Experts agree that in recent years, the AI ​​industry has been focused by the Vietnamese government and called for strong investment from domestic and foreign organizations and businesses. Especially when AI technology is considered as one of the core factors in the 4.0 technology revolution and digital transformation in Vietnam.

With the opening and support from ministries, departments and sectors, Korean technology enterprises, including Naver Corporation, have trusted and decided to invest more in AI training and research in Vietnam.

Chae Seon Ju, CEO of Naver, affirmed that this Korean technology group is very interested in the AI ​​training and research market in Vietnam. “Our choice of Vietnam as an important destination under the project “Global AI Research and Development Belt” is also because the potential of AI technology in Vietnam is highly appreciated”, said Ms. Chae Seon. Ju said.

According to the previous share of Naver’s representative in Vietnam, this group continues to invest hundreds of billions of VND in Naver AI Labs, including a part in developing AI training and research cooperation in the country over 90 million people and built the Group’s Programming Center in Ho Chi Minh City.

From now until 2023, the Center will recruit over 300 AI technology personnel to implement Naver’s projects and services. It is expected that senior personnel trained at two AI research labs in cooperation with Naver and the Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology, Hanoi University of Science and Technology will work at Naver’s Programming Center in Ho Chi Minh City.
