Korea to re-issue tourist visas for Vietnamese tourists from June 1

The Korean government said it will re-issue C-3 short-term visas for visitors from level 1 countries, including Vietnam, from June 1.

C-3 short-term tourist visa is a type of visa issued by Korea for subjects such as: market investigation, consulting for commercial activities, tourism, medical treatment, visiting relatives, participating in meetings. .. This type of visa has been discontinued since March 14, 2020 because of Covid-19.

Recently, in the new opening period, C-3 visas are issued to those who enter with special purposes such as diplomacy, official service, agreements, residence, investment and trade.

Korea divides countries in the world into two levels, based on the epidemic prevention work in each place, including level 1 (level 1) is the usual countries and level 2 is the countries that need attention. Visitors from level 2 (level 2) are not granted C-3, but must continue to apply for a special purpose visa.

Multiple-entry visas (multiple visas) issued before April 5, 2020 are still valid and can still be used.
