Startup invested by VinFast to demonstrate promising battery technology, only 5 minutes of charging can run an additional 161 km

In the newly posted video, the Israeli startup StoreDot demonstrates the “100in5” super-fast charging technology, which promises to help the car run an additional 100 miles (equivalent to 161 km) with just 5 minutes of charging. The performance on the EcoMotion Week 2022 stage was also livestreamed to global viewers.

Startup StoreDot demonstrates 100in5 technology, charging for 5 minutes is an additional 100 miles (161 km).

Most of the indicators of the charging process are measured and displayed on the screen. The energy cell used in the test has a size of 300×100 mm, produced by Eve Energy – a battery supplier from China, which has cooperated with BMW in the production of electric vehicle batteries. In the demonstration video, the battery does not heat up more than 33 degrees Celsius during the charging process, all other indicators are also optimal.

StoreDot has outlined its battery development roadmap. According to VP of research and development Yarron Fein, they will perfect the 100in5 technology by 2024, and aim to 100in3 in 2028 and 100in2 in 2032. StoreDot wants the charging process to be as fast. with refueling vehicles with internal combustion engines.

Currently, a number of electric vehicle brands are already testing StoreDot’s 100in5 battery technology, including Daimler Trucks, Volvo and VinFast.
