On the morning of May 19, 2022, the 1st Dong Thap Lotus Festival – 2022 kicked off a number of activities, attracting the attention of a large number of locals and tourists from other provinces and cities.

The exhibition area of ​​OCOP products, Culture – Tourism and the multi-colored lotus experience area at Van Mieu Square was officially opened this morning, welcoming visitors to visit, experience and shop.

The colorful Sen experience space takes place many exciting activities with artisans participating in welcoming, giving presentations and giving gifts to visitors. At the talented Sen Corner, visitors can admire Uncle Ho’s painting made from dried lotus leaves by artist Bay Nghia. Artist Bay Nghia (living in Lap Vo district, Dong Thap province) shared: “His paintings made from dried lotus leaves have been ordered by tourists in countries such as France, the Netherlands, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Czechoslovakia, Russia, and Africa… Thereby, he wants to contribute to the world. introduce to international friends about lotus in Dong Thap and products made from lotus.”

Also at the talented lotus booth, many visitors received gifts such as calligraphy paintings, lettering on conical hats, dried lotus leaves…

And at the happy and healthy corner of the lotus, visitors can listen to instructions on the use of parts of the lotus plant. Ms. Yen Ly (a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City) was very excited to hear the sharing of Mr. To Thanh Thuc (living in Ward 6, Cao Lanh City) about the use of lotus.

At Sen Dieu Corner, Designer Sy Hoang is always busy explaining and introducing ao dai and silk fabrics with lotus themes as well as the process of drawing lotus flowers, beading on fabric and ao dai.

Visitors who love unique products and gifts could not take their eyes off the New Day Sen Corner. Products made from lotus such as lotus leaf bags, lotus leaf hats, lotus leaf notebooks, lotus tea… of Ecolotus Vietnam Co., Ltd. are beautifully displayed to introduce and market to visitors.

Nearby, the corner of my hometown also welcomes visitors to enjoy fresh lotus tea, dried lotus and hear about the unique way of making lotus tea.

In addition, the multi-colored lotus experience area has many other activities to create a peaceful and poetic space with the rich flavor of lotus flowers such as Memory Corner, Lotus Shape Corner (Yoga, tea ceremony, coffee meditation) and Sac flowers (the exhibition area of ​​paintings and statues of lotus), the art photo exhibition “Dong Thap in our hometown”…

At the OCOP product introduction area on the first morning of the festival, visitors also welcomed visitors to learn and shop typical local products of Dong Thap province, Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces. into the Mekong Delta.
