The Mekong Delta Agricultural Product Center located in Can Tho with an area of 3,300 hectares will play the key role, leading the agricultural development of the whole region.
The information was informed by Mr. Duong Tan Hien, Permanent Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People’s Committee, at the conference to comment on the draft project of establishing a center for linking, producing, processing and consuming agricultural products in the Mekong Delta. The plan this year Can Tho will submit to the Prime Minister for signing the decision to establish the center and basically complete the infrastructure construction in the following two years. From 2025, the center begins to attract businesses to participate.
At the conference, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Tran Thanh Nam said that the center was established according to a specific mechanism, not only an industrial park, an economic zone but also will make full use of all policies. to serve agricultural products in the western provinces.
