Toyota Vios – 2,522 vehicles

The second position of the segment belongs to Toyota Vios with 2,522 cars sold in the past month. Vios’ position has been significantly shaken when many new products enter the Vietnamese auto market. In 2021, Vios was officially surpassed by Fadil to take the position of best-selling car of the year.

Although during the past 4 months Toyota Vios has not once stood at the highest position. However, cumulatively in the first 4 months of the year, Toyota Vios is still the best-selling car with 7,377 units.

On the other hand, the difference in sales between Toyota Vios and rivals like Honda City or Hyundai Accent is not much. Segment leadership can change at any time.

Hyundai Accent – 1,900 vehicles

With 1,900 cars sold in April, Hyundai Accent’s sales fell by 6.5% compared to March. After becoming the most popular car model in the first month of 2022, Hyundai Accent’s performance is somewhat unstable.

This caused Hyundai’s B-class sedan to drop one rank and be surpassed by two of its rivals. Accent’s progressive sales in 2022 are 7,330 units, less than 50 units behind Toyota Vios.

The next positions are almost unchanged when Mitsubishi Attrage sold more than 1,005 vehicles in April. KIA Soluto is in 5th place with 672 vehicles.

Thus, after 4 months, Toyota Vios, Hyundai Accent and Honda City are currently following closely. In which, Toyota Vios is the leading name with 7,377 vehicles, Hyundai Accent is second with 7,330 vehicles and Honda City is in third place with 7,273 vehicles.

If the current growth momentum is maintained, it is highly likely that Honda City will become the model that continues to lead the B-segment sedan segment in the next month.
