The line of cars and motorbikes covered the road, moving little by little. Many motorbikes spilled onto the sidewalk or passed through a long line of cars trying to get out of the traffic jam. At the Nguyen Thai Son intersection connecting Nguyen Kiem, Hoang Minh Giam, Bach Dang, and Hong Ha routes, cars kept coming while many vehicles tried to run red lights, making the traffic situation tense.

A representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport said that this morning at the gateway of Tan Son Nhat airport, there was no traffic incident. However, after 8 hours, the number of vehicles suddenly increased in the area of Hoang Van Thu park (Tan Binh district), leading to congestion of connection roads, especially on Pham Van Dong street. In addition to the increased number of vehicles during rush hour, many cases of non-observance of traffic lights also lead to congestion in the area.
