After more than a hundred years, through many events, time and ups and downs of history, Duc Thanh School still retains its ancient architecture, bold Vietnamese countryside. Most of the ornamental plants on campus are intact and meticulously cared for…

According to historical records, in 1905, during a trip to the South to survey people in the South Central provinces, Phan Chau Trinh stopped in Phan Thiet, met and talked with like-minded people. Including 2 sons of patriotic poet Nguyen Thong. Through this conversation, Mr. Phan Chau Trinh suggested opening a teaching school so that the children of Phan Thiet have conditions to study and expand their knowledge.

Approving the above policy, in 1907, the two sons of patriotic poet Nguyen Thong, Nguyen Trong Loi and Nguyen Quy Anh, mobilized their relatives to contribute to building a school on the common land of their families. The school’s name is Duc Thanh, meaning youth education.
