According to the incident report, Josian Marques Pereira (who lives in Brazil) started showing signs of labor on the morning of May 6. She was hospitalized by her family at Sofia Feldman Maternity Hospital. However, Josian said the medical staff completely “ignored” her, leaving her to wait for 40 minutes despite repeatedly asking for help.

Then a nurse came to see Josian and told her to walk to another room to check on her. The pregnant mother responded that she could not walk because she felt that the baby was about to come out. “But I was still forced to get up and walk.” Josian shared.
And then as soon as she got up and walked a few steps, Josian gave birth right at the hospital reception. She did not react in time to support the baby, so the baby hit his head on the floor and was injured. The baby was immediately taken to the emergency room and resulted in 11 stitches.

Seeing a picture of a newborn baby with a dangerous injury, Josian was very angry and decided to sue the hospital for medical negligence. The case has been received by the police and is under investigation.
As for Josian’s daughter – Olivia, after receiving stitches and medical care, on May 11, she was discharged from the hospital. “We will calmly wait for the results of the police investigation and the most important thing right now is to focus on taking care of our children.”Josian shared.
