Writer and screenwriter Le Phuong passed away at 20:45 on May 14, at the age of 90. The ceremony to visit writer and screenwriter Le Phuong takes place from 7:30 a.m. on May 20. The Vietnam Writers Association, the Vietnam Film Association and the family coordinated to organize the funeral for writer Le Phuong. The memorial service took place at 8:45 a.m. on May 20. Writer Nguyen Thi Thu Hue, Standing Member of the Vietnam Writers’ Association, read a farewell eulogy to author Le Phuong.

“Writer Le Phuong is an avid traveler. The long field trips he called himself search for friends provided him not only with emotional, accurate pages of expert-grade material, but also with sincere, loyal friends. It is not easy to talk about the achievements of writer-cinema Le Phuong, because his area of ​​​​activity is large,” said writer Nguyen Thi Thu Hue.

Screenwriter Le Phuong, real name Nguyen Van Tien, was born in 1933 in Dong Anh. He is often crucified as the biological father Saigon Special Forces-Consists of four scripts written with the same author Nguyen Thanh. However, his career was more open to both battlefield experience and a career in literature and film.

He participated in surveying supply routes for the battle of Dien Bien Phu in 1953, writing his first story Fire test published in the newspaper Saving national. Later, he worked at the General Trade Union (later the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor), became a famous journalist with the pseudonym Le Phuong – a pen name that followed him throughout his later career.

“He is knowledgeable, has a lot of in-depth expertise in many fields. As a person who reads a lot and has a very serious sense of knowledge, it is thanks to his painstaking efforts in collecting materials and real life to put them into his work that he has many outstanding works in different fields.” , said Mr. Nguyen Van Tan, Vice President of Vietnam Cinema Association.

In 1963, Le Phuong wrote her first novel Indomitable-later adapted into a movie Sea whirlwind. From 1963-1978, literary talent blossomed with seven novels on different topics with significant imprints in many types of topics and fields requiring in-depth specialized knowledge: Fort 44 (Artillery defending Ham Rong Bridge), Cotan Valley (most famous for geology), Eucalyptus (forestry field) or Time fork (about the irrigation industry), Trail tracks.

From 1977, he turned to a career as a screenwriter. Works that leave an impression in cinema such as Meeting place of love, Saigon Rangers, Club Without a Name. Later, screenwriter Le Phuong also contributed many outstanding works such as Tears between two centuries, Live forever with the Capital, Green spider, Time fork…

People’s Artist Khai Hung assessed that Le Phuong has been a collaborator since the early days of establishing a Vietnamese television studio, always “fighting fire” for people when needed. Writer Le Phuong has many friends, is loved by many people for his generosity and humility when talking about himself, despite the fact that he is considered a widely read and knowledgeable in many fields.
