Hot: Ukraine released a video of chasing and attacking Russian soldiers hiding in the trenches

Ukraine said earlier this week that its forces had killed 27,000 Russian troops. However, official Western sources have not verified this number. Observers say that Ukraine may be exaggerating Russia’s death toll for propaganda purposes, and vice versa, so can Russia.

Russia has not updated the casualty count in Ukraine since March 25. According to a March 25 report, 1,351 Russian soldiers were killed in the Ukraine conflict.

On Sunday, the British Ministry of Defense said a third of Russia’s ground forces – which the US previously estimated at around 190,000 troops – were likely injured or killed in the conflict in Ukraine. Business Insider was also unable to independently verify the UK Department of Defense’s statement.
