In particular, the commune-level police department will receive and carry out registration procedures and issue number plates for motorcycles and mopeds (including electric scooters) to individuals and organizations with headquarters or permanent residence in the locality. themselves and foreign agencies, organizations and individuals, of projects and economic organizations in joint ventures with foreign countries in their respective localities.

In order for the Commune Police to have the right to register and issue license plates for motorbikes, in the last three years, the locality must have a new registration number of at least 250 motorbikes and mopeds (including electric motorbikes). in a year.

Register online to apply for a temporary license plate

Correct the error in English on the vehicle registration certificate

Previously, the press reflected on the current car registration certificate form according to the provisions of Circular 58/2020 of the Ministry of Public Security with an error when using incorrect English vocabulary.

To remedy this, Circular 15/2022 promulgates a form of a new car registration certificate, which corrects the English translation of the phrase “number of seats” from “Sit” to “Number of Seats”.

Cold fines can be paid at the place of residence

Clause 2, Article 4, Circular 15/2022 stipulates that when a violation is detected through professional means or equipment but cannot stop the means to impose a penalty, the competent person will determine information about the person and vehicle. violations and send the results of cold fines to the police station where the vehicle owner resides for settlement.

In which, transfer the results to the commune-level police station where the violator resides, if the violation falls under the sanctioning competence of the commune-level police chief; transfer the results to the district-level police office where the violator resides if the violation is not within the sanctioning competence of the commune-level police chief or within the sanctioning competence of the commune-level police chief but the commune-level police are not equipped connected network system.

When violators come to work, the head of the commune-level police station and the district-level police chief shall make a record and issue a decision to sanction traffic violations according to regulations.

According to current regulations in Circular 65/2020, after the violator is verified, the police agency where the violation is detected will directly send a notice inviting the violator to the headquarters for settlement. If the violator does not come to the headquarters of the police agency where the violation is detected to settle, a notice shall be sent to the commune police station where he/she resides.
