Da Nang reopened tourism activities under new normal conditions from March 15. Without foreign customers, many stores that previously served international customers have not yet opened.

VietNamNet on May 18 showed that on the “golden” tourist routes of Vo Nguyen Giap, Pham Van Dong,… many fashion, dining, entertainment establishments… previously regularly served international guests. The economy is still in a closed state, even many places have been abandoned for a long time, covered with dust, damaged equipment, etc. Some shops hang signs to transfer the premises.
Mr. Cao Tri Dung – Chairman of the Association Da Nang tourism – said that currently, domestic visitors to the city have almost recovered, while the international market has recovered slowly.
“Not only in Da Nang, in many other places, there are still few international visitors coming back. It is not easy to restore international visitors in a short time, there must be a route. The business community in Da Nang has already prepared new products and human resources, the key factor now is the market source. The Department of Tourism will meet with the business community to exploit the focus of international visitors,” Dung said.

The plan to open tourism activities under new normal conditions has just been officially issued by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. From March 15, international visitors to Vietnam only need to test negative for Covid-19, not quarantine, and do not need a “vaccine passport”.
