Principal of Quang Trung High School sent an application to stop operating the school

This morning (May 20), leaders of Hai Phong Department of Education and Training said that they had received an application from the principal of Quang Trung High School – Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Hoa. This female principal has applied for a temporary suspension of professional management and management of the school committee.

Department leaders have agreed and are working on the processes to appoint a new person to replace Ms. Hoa.

It is known that Ms. Hoa was involved in the case of making false payment records for construction items at Nguyen Trai High School, An Duong district, at the time Ms. Hoa was the principal of this school.

Previously, Hai Phong City Police issued a decision to prosecute a criminal case of “abusing positions and powers while performing official duties” that occurred at Nguyen Trai High School, An Duong district.

During the investigation process, the Investigation Police Agency determined that from August 2020 to August 2021, at Nguyen Trai High School, a false record of payment for construction items occurred to withdraw money from the State budget contrary to the law. regulations on financial management, causing damage to the State budget.

Leaders of Nguyen Trai High School in the period before October 2021 have made false records of payment for construction items, including: Items for installing curtains for classrooms, making heat-resistant works in 3-storey building, repair the Nguyen Trai monument in the school campus. Although not performing these items, individuals still make payments and withdraw money from the state budget in contravention of financial management regulations, causing damage to the State budget.
