The starting point of the project connects from Phap Van – Cau Gie expressway, at Tu Hiep commune, Thanh Tri district; the end point at the intersection area 3 . belt – Nguyen Khoai.
Vehicles from outside the province or wishing to avoid the gateway area of Hanoi capital from Phap Van Expressway can move directly to the beginning of Thanh Tri bridge to go to National Highway 5, Hanoi – Hai Phong highway.
The project has a total investment of over 3,240 billion VND, including site clearance costs of more than 936 billion VND, using the city budget, expected to be completed in the period 2022 – 2025.
The Hanoi Department of Transport also proposed that the City People’s Committee carefully review the basic design of the project, the red line boundary of the approved route, the current status of the area and related plans to serve as a basis for formulating and submitting the project. approve technical designs, construction drawings, ensure compliance with current regulations; specifying and detailing the scale of work items, especially solutions and design plans for bridges and intersections on the route, ensuring synchronous connection with relevant plannings; take appropriate measures to organize construction to ensure traffic safety.
Previously, the project was approved by the Prime Minister for investment policy in Decision No. 141 of January 21, 2020, approved for adjustment of investment policy in Decision No. 471 of April 15, 2022.
The project has also been appraised by the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and other central ministries and branches, and approved the pre-feasibility study report, technical design, etc.
In recent years, Phap Van – Cau Gie highway has often experienced prolonged congestion because the number of people and vehicles pouring into Hanoi has increased dramatically after holidays and Tet.
