Share your experience of getting 8.5 IELTS when you have attention deficit disorder

Score 8.5 IELTS is the goal of many people. It requires a whole process of learning, cultivating knowledge to gain knowledge, skills and bravery in the competition.

For people with ADHD (attention deficit disorder), when unable to concentrate for a long period of time, how to complete IELTS sections without getting distracted midway?

Challenge your limits

People with ADHD often cannot concentrate on anything for more than 40 minutes. This greatly affects studies as well as jobs that require a high level of concentration. Some people even need medication to reduce the impact of this syndrome on daily life.

To get a high IELTS score, you need to practice to overcome ADHD. As in the listening part, if normally after about 15 – 10 minutes you can’t concentrate on what people are saying, then practice to prolong your endurance. Start by slowing down, instead of listening at normal speed, you can slow down. Practicing a little more each day to challenge yourself will help keep your mind from “going out” while doing your part.

Hard work is the secret of success

Each different section of the test can apply different training methods. However, with any job not only taking the IELTS exam, one of the factors to create success is PASSION. To keep yourself working hard is not difficult, it takes discipline which is love.

For IELTS preparation, find yourself a favorite topic, and read and write a lot about it. The first is to help me get interested in the topics, the readings, making learning not boring. Besides, it also helps to improve vocabulary, how to use sentences in many contexts, …

To achieve a score of 8.5 IELTS requires you to study a lot in English, including all 4 skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. We need to know that the test takers are all seasoned language experts so word of mouth tricks can never get you an 8.5 overall.

Organize your homework time

Because the maximum concentration of people with ADHD is about 40 minutes, so you need to allocate time to work properly. Try to complete the exercise in the first 40 minutes. The rest of the time is to review the article. Anyone can make mistakes, so don’t be subjective after completing the test.

Besides, you should also participate in IELTS test to know your ability. The practice test is very different from the actual exam. As in the speaking test, the pressure to speak in front of the examiner is not the same as when speaking in front of a mirror.

Or like in the writing or reading test, you will know when your mind works best. From there, come up with a practice plan to gain more knowledge and find solutions to improve ADHD syndrome when you have to concentrate for a long time.

If you have not achieved a score of 8.5 IELTS, instead of being sad or depressed, analyze the lessons and reasons why you have not achieved the set score in that section. From there will have experience for the next exam. The feeling of trying to achieve a goal is always exhilarating. The important thing is to never give up. I wish everyone success with the goals they have set.
