The head of Crimea’s parliament, Boris Konstantinov, confirmed that the situation in Crimea was safe and that the peninsula did not face any threat despite its proximity to the areas of special Russian military operations in the region. Ukraine.

Konstantinov also reiterated that some infrastructure was damaged at the beginning of Russia’s military operation in Ukraine, but no one was injured in the incident.

Russia annexed the Crimean peninsula in 2014. The main base of the Black Sea Fleet is located in the port city of Sevastopol on the peninsula.
