Tuition fees at Hanoi Medical University increased the most by 70%

On the evening of May 19, Hanoi Medical University approved a new tuition rate, applicable to undergraduate and graduate levels in the year 2022-2023. Medicine and Pharmacy (including Medicine, Traditional Medicine, Preventive Medicine) and Odonto-Stomatology have a tuition fee of 2.45 million VND per month. Compared to the current rate of 1.43 million VND, the new tuition fee increased by 71%.

The Health sector also increased tuition fees from 1.43 million VND to 1.85 million VND per month, equivalent to 29%. Tuition for advanced nursing program is 3.7 million VND.

Assoc. This Decree stipulates the collection, management and tuition fee exemption and reduction policies for high schools and universities.

In the Decree, the tuition fee ceiling (school year 2022-2023) for public universities that cannot guarantee their own recurrent expenditures is 1.85 million VND/month (for the health sector) and 2.45 million VND/month (Medical Division). This is also the rate that Hanoi Medical University will apply next year.

Associate Professor Tung affirmed that this is a reasonable fee, complying with the regulations of the State. In the coming time, the school will continue to call for support and scholarship sources to help disadvantaged students in the context of increasing tuition fees.

Since last year, many medical schools have announced to increase tuition fees, the common increase is about 30-50%, a few increase 70%.

Hanoi Medical University is one of the leading medical training institutions in Vietnam. Currently, the school has not announced regular university enrollment information in 2022.
