10-year-old boy who helped save 11 people from multi-level group, hailed as ‘hero’

The incident happened in the city of Baotou in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in northern China. A group of 11 people were illegally detained by a multi-level organization in a building and were rescued earlier this week, according to the newspaper South China Morning Post May 20th.

One of the group took advantage of the guard’s low alert, scribbled a plea for help on a 20 yuan bill and threw it out the window. The message line said that 11 people were being held on the 3rd floor of a building in the city, guarded by armed criminals.
