On May 21, the Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee’s Inspection Committee simultaneously expelled two officials from the Ha Giang CDC, including: Ms. Phan Thi Nga, Head of the Laboratory; To Minh Hue, Head of Finance – Accounting Department.
According to the inspection agency, these people violated the principle of democratic centralism and the working regulations of the Party Committee; loose leadership; violate the law in bidding, procurement, management and use of medical supplies, equipment and biological products in service of the fight against Covid-19; violating regulations on anti-corruption, causing large amounts of state budget loss, serious consequences…
Previously, Ms. Pham Thi Kim Dung, Deputy Director of CDC Ha Giang, was dismissed from her position in the Party; Ms. Hoang Thi Phuong, accountant of CDC’s Finance – Accounting Department, was warned. Ha Giang CDC Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term was warned.
On May 11, Mr. Tuan, Mrs. Nga, and Hue were prosecuted and detained by Ha Giang Provincial Police for investigation of crimes Briberyaccording to Clause 4, Article 354 of the Penal Code.
The three accused people, when performing a contract to buy Covid-19 test kits, repeatedly received an out-of-contract percentage from Viet A Company in the amount of more than one billion dong. Ha Giang Provincial Police collected VND 770 million.
In cases related to Viet A, the Police Department for Investigation of Crimes on Corruption, Economic and Smuggling (C03, Ministry of Public Security) and local police have prosecuted nearly 40 people, including 16 leaders leaders and staff of many CDCs and Departments of Health; 3 chiefs.
