The incident happened at a cafe in the city of Porto Alegre, capital of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, southern Brazil, on May 15, but the Daily Mail on May 18 only published a video of the incident.
In the video, Miram is sitting at a coffee shop looking at her phone when suddenly a strange man touches her thigh. Not letting the man leave, Miram immediately rushed to beat the dust, causing the molester to fall to the ground.
One women ran to intervene, but Miram still did not give up. Stunned by the woman’s reaction, the man with frightened eyes tried to walk towards the exit.
Video of the incident was then shared on social media and immediately attracted attention. Many netizens praised the woman for standing up against harassment.
“This is not aggression but a reaction to sexual harassment. Women should take a tough stance against such guys,” one Twitter user shared.
