Michelin restaurant posted a forum to find customers to steal more than 4 million VND
According to The Sun, the owner of a Michelin-starred restaurant was recently furious after two diners ate a full meal but acted in an unacceptable manner known as… eating. steal.
The incident happened at a restaurant called Muse in the town of Yarm, North Yorkshire (UK). The owner of this restaurant was extremely upset and asked netizens for help in tracing the identity of the two men who came to eat and drink and then left without paying.
This restaurant also posted photos of two “precious” guests recorded by security cameras on Facebook for people to identify. The photos show a middle-aged man wearing a dark T-shirt, shorts and a blue cap. The 2nd has a taller beard in the same outfit with short hair.
Two men are said to have ordered expensive food and drinks with a total bill of 150 pounds (equivalent to 4.3 million dong).
In a Facebook post, the restaurant said it would give the men one day to return and pay before they contact police.
The post reads: “Please contact us, 2 people just got up and left without paying their £150 bill at 8:25pm on Thursday 19 May. Please contact us soon. I just want the bill to be paid quickly so I don’t have to worry about this anymore.”
“We really don’t want to make a fuss so give us a call. If someone recognizes them, please urge them to contact us to pay the bill. If we still haven’t received payment by 12 o’clock. Saturday noon, we will notify the police.”
The post has now been shared thousands of times. Local people also commented in support of the restaurant.
One person wrote: “This seems to have been well planned by those two. One stood up, the other remained seated. He waited until the others left and then got up and went out to read the menu on the table to avoid get the staff’s attention. Hope they get caught.”
Another said: “I shared this story. I hope they will pay for their actions!!! Restaurants have had a hard time, now more people like this.”
