South Korea allows students with COVID-19 to take exams at school

In order to comply with the rules of epidemic prevention, students who have been infected with COVID-19 will be allowed to attend school and take the exam but must follow strict medical guidelines. Schools are required to prepare separate exam rooms, identify candidates infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus and report the list to health authorities one day before the exam.

Schools must also enforce distancing rules, wearing masks, eating separately and staggered to prevent the disease from spreading. With the new regulation, the Korean education industry aims to be fair to students who have missed exams due to COVID-19 in previous semesters.

As planned, middle schools and high schools across Korea will hold the final exam from the end of June to the beginning of July.
